Terms and Conditions

Version 2026-09-28. These are the terms for using Restaurant Extra, a product of Third Extra. By applying for a restaurant, or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them — especially section 9, which limits what we are responsible for.

1. Who is who

“We”, “us” and “our” mean Third Extra. “You” means the restaurant business that applies, and the person applying on its behalf, who confirms they are allowed to agree to these terms for it. “The service” means Restaurant Extra: the front desk app, the staff and kitchen screens, the online menu, the menu and floor plan editors, the owner’s report, and our support.

2. What the service is

A tool to help run a restaurant: seating, orders, bills, payments recorded at your counter, staff hours, and a menu guests can order from on their phones. It is a tool you operate. You decide your menu, prices, taxes, opening hours and who works for you, and you check what it shows before you rely on it.

3. Your account

  • We read every application and may accept or decline any of them.
  • Keep your links, PINs and devices safe. Anything done with them is treated as done by you.
  • The details you give us must be true, and kept up to date.

4. Subscription, free months and coupons

  • Your subscription ends on the date shown to you. After it ends, the front desk finishes the service that is running and cannot start another, and your links stop working until it is renewed.
  • A coupon gives the free months it says, once per business. We may refuse or cancel a coupon used against these terms — for example by applying again under another name or email to get more free months.
  • Fees, and what they cover, are agreed with you before you pay. Taxes on our fees are added where the law says so.

5. Money that goes through your restaurant

We do not take, hold or pass on your guests’ payments. The service records what you tell it was paid. You are responsible for your takings, your till, your card machine, your refunds, and for the taxes and records the law asks of you. Check every bill and every total before relying on it.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Your food, prices, allergy and ingredient information, licences, hygiene, and how you treat guests and staff are yours.
  • Follow the laws where your restaurant is — tax, consumer, food, employment and data protection law among them.
  • Tell your guests and staff what you record about them where the law requires it.
  • Do not misuse the service: no reverse engineering, no copying or reselling it, no attempts to get round its limits, and nothing unlawful.

7. Your data

Your menu, floor plan, orders and records are yours. We keep them to run the service, and use them for nothing else. We do not sell them. We may keep what the law requires us to keep, and remove the rest a reasonable time after your subscription ends. Keep your own copies of anything you need.

8. How the service is provided

We work hard to keep the service running and correct, but it is provided as it is and as available. It depends on the internet, your devices, your printers and other companies’ systems, and it can be interrupted, slow, or wrong. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will suit a particular purpose. We may change, improve or stop parts of it.

9. What we are responsible for — and what we are not

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We are not responsible for any loss of money, sales, profit, takings, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it is caused — including a service being down, a bill or total being wrong, an order being lost or late, a printer failing, or a device being lost or broken.
  • Our total responsibility to you, for everything together, is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the thing that went wrong. At worst, we give you back the money you spent on the service. If you paid us nothing — on free months, for example — it is limited to nothing.
  • Nothing here limits what the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You agree to cover us for claims made against us by your guests, staff or anybody else because of how you ran your restaurant or used the service.

10. Ending

You can stop at any time. We may suspend or end the service if you break these terms, do not pay, or use it in a way that could harm others, and we will tell you why. Sections 5, 7, 9 and 12 carry on after it ends.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you about changes that matter before they apply. Using the service after that is agreeing to the new terms.

12. Where you are, and the law

  • These terms apply wherever your restaurant is: in India, in the Middle East — including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman — and in every other country.
  • Where the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be taken away by agreement, you keep them, and these terms apply alongside them, as far as that law allows.
  • Otherwise these terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any disagreement with you directly and in good faith; if we cannot, it will be settled by the courts of India, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
  • If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
